Happy New Year!

Where do I begin? I have been on bed rest now for a month and because we don't have a lap top, I have been out of touch with the computer world. When I logged onto my blog and still saw the turkeys I thought, how sad! I am now walking without crutches so it makes it easier to get around. Just this past week my doctor said I could walk around the house more and not be so limited to the bed or couch. For those of you who don't know, I was in the hospital for a week at the beginning of December because my water started to leak. I have two more months until my due date, and we'll see if we make it till then. At this point, nothing will surprise me! We had planed all along not to find out what we were having, but with all the surprise that have come our way, I was over surprises! So... we are having a boy! Allison wanted a sister, but she is warming up to the idea. Ryan is not the best picture taker, and with me not being able to take many pictures, the few pictures that were on our camera are here for you to see. Thank you to everyone for all your love and support during this crazy time!

Right after I broke my foot, the kids got sick so Auntie Nora came to the rescue. She set up sleeping bags in the living room and we watched a lot of cartoons. Alli and Zachy love holding hands. They do it all the time and all on their own! I think its so sweet.

Here they are with baby Charlie. They thought pacifiers might make them feel better!

Zachary turned two while I was in the hospital, so we celebrated his birthday there! Grandma made cupcakes and we all had a fun time.

He didn't care where his party was as long as there were cupcakes and a candle. I think he had three cupcakes that night!

We opened presents and knew this would be something we would look back on and laugh about!

Christmas morning was fun. I was just glad to be home! Allison got a scooter from Santa and it has been the best present ever! She does not let it leave her side. We made the mistake of letting her ride it in the house. She has it by her bed when she sleeps, so when she has to get up to go to the bathroom she hops on and is ready to go. It is pretty funny.

The only thing they both asked Santa for were character slippers. Here is the only picture of the slippers on their feet. I have not seen them wear them since!
We spent part of Christmas morning at Grandmas house and the kids had fun with everyone.
It was sad when everyone had to go back home and the fun was over. But thanks to Ryan he knows how to keep the fun going! He has been so great with everything since I have been out of commission. He is especially great with the kids. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband.

When this is all over you will look back and laugh. Ryan in the tub with the kids is great! Let me know if I can come back and help (especially when the baby's born!).

I'm so glad to hear that you're off bedrest. I'm sure that is a relief to you. Hopefully we will be able to catch up soon.

By the way, the pic of your kiddos in the tub is too cute. They look so angelic!

I love it that you are able to blog again. Not like we don't talk or see you guys all the time or anything, but it is still fun to see the pictures. I laughed out loud when i read the part about Alli getting on her scooter to "ride" to the bathroom.

Jennifer! What an ordeal you have been through! Your water leaked??? Im sure that was an unexpected twist in this pregnancy! CONGRATS on another gorgeous little boy! Cant wait to watch him grow up alongside his already gorgeous sister and brother! I can sympathize with Allie, Jack too wanted a same sex sibling for baby #3 and had to deal with the hard reality that he has 2 sisters. As time goes by i dont think he would have it any other way - i think he likes being mommys only little man!

hang in there! glad to see a blog again- ive been checking everyday!

SO GLAD to hear you're able to be up and around a bit. I'd heard from your mom (who had come into Williams Sonoma where I had a holiday job) that you were home before Christmas. I'd love to stop by for a visit--I'll call soon.

Alli--hilarious about riding her scooter to the bathroom! The efficiency of that warms my heart.

CONGRATULATIONS ON BABY BOY!!!! Can't wait to meet him!

Funny Sara used the word "angelic" about the kiddos tub picture because I was just about to type the exact same message when I glanced to the side to see she already had. So I guess that proves it! So if ever you try to say they aren't perfect, we simply won't believe you. :-P
